POPLAR

selection of one of Britain’s rarest
native species - the black poplar (var.
betulifolia). Mainly old pollards, but
also coppiced specimens and maiden trees.

the best concentrations of the species
in the Vale of Aylesbury and on Castlemorton
Common, Worcs. Details of bark, leaves
& catkins. Hybrid black poplars. White
